A Younger Theatre has a new website which can be found at – this blog will no longer be updated!

The following sections are dedicated to resources that might be of interest for budding theatre goers/makers/designers/everything-theatre-related with an empthasis on the Younger Generations.

This is by no means a complete resource to all things theatre related for the younger ones of us, but I certainly hope it is enlightening all the same. If you wish to add anything to any of the below sections then please get in contact with me.

Youth Theatre Groups

A small list of theatres that operate a vibrant youth theatre group and regularly partake in shows within their own theatre and in the surrounding communities. These are not however amateur dramatic groups, but professionally run youth theatre programmes.

Bloomsbury Young People’s Theatre
Half Moon Young People’s Theatre
Lyric Young Company
National Youth Theatre
Unicorn Theatre Young Company

Young Theatre Bloggers

In the quest to bring theatre from a younger generation into the public eye, below are listed some of the great bloggers who are young and doing just this! Bravo to them.

Creative Opportunities

One thing I have found is the constant opportunities which arise in the theatre (and even the arts as a whole), but these opportunities are often scattered and hard to put down in one place. Here are a few places to seek regular opportunities within theatre:

Get Into Theatre
Ideas Tap
Master Class
National Theatre – Discover: Young People
Old Vic New Voices
